UPSC CDS I Exam 2016 Syllabus
CDS I 2016 Exam Scheme for IMA,
INA & AFA is same while OTA is slightly different. For IMA, INA & AFA,
candidates have to give three papers viz. English, General Knowledge and
Elementary Mathematics.
CDS OTA Exam Syllabus 2016: For OTA, candidates are not required to give
Mathematics paper, only papers of English and General Knowledge will be applicable.
Each paper, English, General
Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics, will be of 100 marks with duration of 2
hours. The question papers will be in English and Hindi (not applicable for
English paper) both the languages.
CDS Syllabus for English
Question paper of English will
test the basic understanding of English language of the candidates and also
usage of words.
GK paper will consist following
topics –
- Current Affairs
- History
- Geography
- Basic Science
- General Awareness
Mathematics is very wide subject,
so commission will only test the elementary mathematics and the understanding
of concepts. The topics include –
- Number System
- Algebra
- Trigonometry
- Geometry
- Mensuration
- Statistics

Selection Procedure
Candidates who will be selected
in written examination will be called for Interview for intelligence and personality
test, which is also known as CDS SSB. Roll number wise list of successful
candidates will be mentioned in CDS I 2016 Result.
